Victoria Beckham has made the sidewalks of Manhattan her own personal catwalk. Beckham, who often wears tests pieces from her own collections, is in New York City ahead of her Fall 2018 show tomorrow morning, and earlier today en route to fittings she stepped out in her own slick take of classic, all-American weekend style. The tailored topcoat, fitted turtleneck, and wide-leg trousers fall within Beckham’s stylistic wheelhouse, but it also presented a posh take on Ali MacGraw’s wardrobe from the 1970 classic film Love Story.
Beckham cemented her look with her beige topcoat, which takes its cues from traditional menswear tailoring. It was the ideal foil for her demure, yet direct underpinnings in tonally-coordinated shades of midnight blue. A fitted turtleneck was ideal to combat the city chill while flared, front-pleat trousers were employed to elevate the casual look to Savile Row-worthy heights. Rounding out the ensemble were requisite Beckham staples: the designer’s Half Moon cross body bag and power shield frames.
