this app seems to have gotten considerably worse. I got rid of it over 3 months ago expecting a reset but my likes are nowhere near where they were last time, and even less than when I first had the app. does the app punish you for redownloading?
And by all means, I’ve gotten more attractive in that time. Started working out regularly, matured a bit in the face, and I’m better with women. It just seems like the app’s quality has gone down considerably. The lack of effort from matches is another issue (and one that I know isn’t app or gender specific but annoying nonetheless).
This is the tinder sub, so I expect this opinion to be controversial. But I want to hear thoughts.

I’d really like to talk to some PMs at Tinder. I have no clue who thought it would be a good idea to change the UI from having the menu options classically on the top to at the bottom, having the annoying red ‘X’ colour-up every left swipe and removing the photo tile expansion (people’s interests now permanently block the bottoms of their photos), but this new update frustrates me so much I might leave the app.
Went on a first date (dinner) with this cute girl who is looking for LTR and thought it went well (although you never know). Sent her a text afterwards saying I enjoyed meeeting her and would love to see her again. She replied she also enjoyed it and that she « will be in touch soon ». Not sure what this means? Should I wait for her to contact me or should I proactively try to set up a second date? When?
Reinstalled Tinder again like 3 weeks ago and I am quite sure that either Tinder is kind of dying and/or I am getting too old (mid 30ies) for it. Or my pics have gotten too bad in comparison.
* Got into the next age bracket to see a higher price for Gold.
* I ALWAYS see an ad on top of my messages, regardless if I have Gold or not. (what the fuck?)
* Tinder notifies me it always changes my range and age settings.
* Getting significantly fewer matches.
* Ignores the user’s preferences somehow. It’s like, there are weeks with profiles by scammers/traffickers or whatever is going on when there are so many profiles of Asian women. * Seems like the product and marketing people at Tinder tried some nice incentives last year (remember that 1-2 month-long free passport feature) but now are dead-set on monetization. :/
Another observation: these threads used to be filled with fun and sometimes really awesome stories which I even visited and commented on with another reddit account. Now it’s getting summer again, but there isn’t much going on in here. Maybe the sub lost its appeal, who knows.
I want to share my exploit of the Tinder algorithm. Let’s say its Friday evening and you want to get some action, as soon as possible:
1) make a new Tinder account. Your profile is boosted so more people will see it.
2) as soon as you receive a new like (the like counter goes up), change your radar settings (+- 2km, for example)
3) the first or second card on the stack will be a match. After you match, go to step 2)
That way you can basically match with people that liked you instantly. I’m not really sure how this affects for your Tinder ELO, but as I said this is a method for instant action.
Matched with prob the prettiest girl I’ve had a match with to date yesterday. I send a message at 4 am, she replies within 10 secs. I send I follow up 3 mins later, so response, been a day. Baffled I tell you. Kinda sad, she was fucking fire
Matched with the cutest girl I ever have, messaged her on the app for a day, got her number at the end after making loose plans for next weekend. She sent me her number Thursday night when I was asleep so I texted her Friday morning. Nothing heard from her yet.
She did say she’s be busy this weekend and I don’t want to be too pushy but maybe she might’ve sent me the wrong number? I know I’m acting like kind of a clown but should I message her back on the app with something like “hey how was your weekend?” on Monday?
Normally I’d let something like this go but I still want to shoot my shot haha

Started a new tinder account again took about 5 days to get a match. Which is good considering I have piss poor luck on the app. Girl I matched with is cute. I sent her a message “Happy Friday, how’s it going?” No replies back yet. Should I send something else or just wait?
Matched a chick with honkers so big that I think it’s basically rude to not mention them. She’s heard it all i’m sure but someone call nasa these things have their own gravitational orbit
This was actually a date from hinge but I’ll go ahead anyways. So me and this girl agreed on a hike with her dog. So I pick her up, we drive to the hike area, everything is going well, One red flag I noticed from the bat was that she was talking about her ex like she was still kind of attached to him. Then when we start the hike, her dog takes a shit, and to my surprise not one but two condoms came out when the dog took its crap. I was really surprised and told her where did those condoms come from, she told me her dog must’ve ate them in the dog park the other day.
I was confused but I went along with what she said and didn’t really make a fuss about it and we continued to hike and enjoyed the rest of the date, got food after, then I dropped her off at home and we agreed to see each other a second time. So when the date was over I discussed what happened with my friends and we agreed that she most likely had sex within the last 24 hours with either her ex or someone else. That person probably threw the condoms in the trash sitting on the top, and the dog probably came around and ate the condoms.
After processing all this it registered in my head that it was probably true. Since when would there be condoms in a dog park. I decided to not contact her again, because she made me feel like a clown for going out on a date with me after getting railed no less than 24 hours ago by someone else. It was mad disrespectful what she did

Matched with a guy earlier today, his name was Josh. His bio said “5’8 and proud“. So that was a red flag already. He asked for my number, and we were texting, he said he was moving across Canada in 4 months, so I asked what he was looking for on Tinder, and he said “someone to be with for 4 months.” I told him I wasn’t down to waste my time, and I don’t do hookups. and he said “relationships don’t last long anyways.” I politely told him goodbye, and that I hope he finds someone to spend 4 months with, deleted the conversation and his contact. He then messaged me again and said, “No ones gonna stay with you that long anyway”. WHAT???
Took a break from tinder to go to bumble. First 2 days I got 30 matches and 90% of them already messaging me lol. Set up dates for the whole week. Only Shit thing is they won’t let you post shirtless pics.
