POF : How to block ALL people based on location?
I’m sure this isn’t a new revelation, but the spam is ABSOLUTELY INSANE on this site….2 hours later, and literally 20+ emails saying « ______ wants to meet you » and I already want to delete my account because of the spam bots.
Is there any possible way to block people based on their location? Women from India, Bangladesh, Brazil, etc. etc. etc. all keep messaging me—looking for somebody who actually lives NEAR ME!

There is no way to stop getting « Hey there 🙂 » messages from spam bots. Why? Because POF is the one making the spam bots. Currently, when creating POF accounts, you can only create them if you complete a Captcha request AND do phone verification. The phone verification requires that you use your REAL phone number. I’ve already tried using temporary, disposable, and other phone numbers and POF would not accept any of them. On top of that, you can create a restriction that prevents people from messaging you if their messages are below a certain number of characters. If you set it so that first contact messages have to be over 300 characters, you will STILL get « Hey there 🙂 » messages from spam bots. The people who bought POF from Markus – [Match.com](https://Match.com) does this sort of shit with every dating site they buy and they have bought a ton of different dating sites. [Match.com](https://Match.com) has no integrity and are the dookey stains of the internet. They just keep adding poop streaks to the fabric of internet dating.

PS – What Tammo-Korsai said is right. You can go to Mail Settings in Edit Profile to stop getting email notifications of a certain type. Any Meet Me notification should be turned off as those are all fake. No one should ever pay for the Meet Me feature. It is a 100% scam.
First, turn off the email notifications about Meet Me because it’s a useless feature. Second, you can set a maximum distance on your profile, but it won’t stop all of the spam.
Stop using POF and go out side and meet girls. Go where ever they can be found. You will have more success in person than on a shitty dating website.
