h2>Dating : Cuz I Can't Sleep Without You, Baby

“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.” — Audrey Hepburn
Sleeping with someone that loves you is divine. Every night before I go to sleep, I pat my husband. He responds by putting his leg over my legs.
I have trouble sleeping without him. When I travel for my job, I take Benedryl so I can sleep. Otherwise, I am up and down all night, tossing and turning without him next to me.
When he is out, I wait up for him to come home. I make no pretense about it. I am waiting for him so I can go to bed and go to sleep.
Why do I love sleeping with him?
1. My husband is my protector. He keeps me safe.
2. My spouse is my physical comfort. He is warm. I can’t wait to put my cold feet on him every night.
3. My significant other is my visual comfort. I watch him while he sleeps. He snores. His snoring is amusing; it makes my heart sing.
4. My sweetheart is my touchstone. When I get a crazy idea in the middle of the night, I poke him awake and talk to him. He always grumbles, then carefully listens to me, providing feedback so I can go back to sleep.
5. No matter how the previous day was, waking up with his presence sets the day off on a good note.
We love being behind closed doors.
We lay in bed and have Alexa play music. We sing or hum to each other. One of my favorites to sing to him is Chico DeBarge’s “No Guarantee.” When he met me, I was a scrappy ghetto child trying to beg borrow or steal a college degree with no money.
He was the first in his family to go to college. There were no guarantees yet we choose each other to walk with until we die.
“Too strong for too long (and I can’t be without you baby)
And I’ll be waiting up until you get home (cause I can’t sleep without you baby” — Mary J. Blige, The Breakthrough, Be Without You, 2005
When he softly kisses my back, just because, my heart melts. I’m confident that at least one person loves me for me. I can do anything.
