Addressing a free verse poem to Love

In the world of projection,
you become a plasticine
that everybody forms
according to their personality.
If I ask 1234 people
about what are you,
I’ll end up
with 1234 different definitions.
Everyone dresses you up
according to their inner wardrobe’s content,
transforming their system of perception
into a projector of all their earthly memories, their
repulsed desires, their fears, and so on.
That’s why on our spherical battle-field we call “earth”,
a more suitable question
would have been
“What is love, for you?”
But, what about beyond the subjectivity island we live on?
What are you anyway?
Can you be described objectively?
— Can anything be described objectively? —
I think you can’t — unless we’ll become completely unprejudiced — .
I feel you don’t fit in words.
Not because words and languages are poor.
— How could I say that? I’m Greek, for God’s sake! —
It’s just that some meanings, cannot be described.
They can only be experienced.
They can only be perceived.
They can only be.
— And, I get the sense that you are one of these — .
So, Love, I won’t fight a futile battle,
neither orally nor by my writing.
I won’t squeeze you to fit in words.
I choose to freely experience you, by heart.
