The climate of Muscat, the capital city, features a hot, arid climate with long and very hot summers and warm winters. Annual rainfall in Muscat is about 4 inches. The climate is very hot, with temperatures reaching as high as 46 °C (120 °F) in the summer. For sightseeing, the best time to visit Muscat is from November to April as the temperatures are moderate and pleasant, making it easy to move around. The day time temperature in Muscat during the winter season is 23–26°C and night will be cool around 13–17°C.

Oman has been ranked the fifth safest country in the world, according to the global crime index, While the capital Muscat also figures among the cities with the lowest crime rates. Oman is among the safest countries for women and is home to the friendliest locals and helpful souls.
HERITAGE
Oman has an ancient heritage as its archaeological sites are still present today. This rich heritage reflects the strong bond that connects Omanis to their land and community. It is vivid through the customs, arts, traditions, architecture and many other activities such as camel racings, horse racing and bullfight. Oman’s culture is rich in customs, traditions, and its souqs are bustling with traditional arts. Omanis are famous for their unique folklore like Razha, Minden, and Aazi that can be witnessed in weddings, Eid, and national celebrations.
