Dating : Why Birds

Birds in the air. Birds on the ground.
Birds of many kinds, they’re all around.
Birds are simple. Birds are ornate.
My fascination with birds I must elaborate.

Birds make noises, some pleasant some not.
They tell us spring is here and soon it will be hot.
Some birds hum. Some birds tweet.
Birds can sure travel even with tiny feet.

Birds you see are far superior to us.
Just as smart and productive yet without all our fuss.
Prettier too without spending a dime.
Birds win the beauty contest with humans every time.

And birds can fly. They can soar.
Humans have trouble just getting out of the door.
Most birds they don’t live as long.
But oh can they warble or belt out a song.

So what can birds teach me about this mortal life?
They only focus on the most important things, like loving a wife.
So whenever I get a chance all throughout the year,
I’ll be like a bird and make my devotion to her very clear.
