Dating : Musings of a girlfriend that misses too much!

A.

“How did I get so lucky”, I gasp. Each time I look at him. Extremely pleasant to look at but extremely quiet. You won’t end up striking a one-on-one conversation with him in a group. You won’t find him hitting on you at a party. There are few chances that he might even notice you.

That’s just him. Always living in wonderland. A tall frame with a really lean body. Getting attracted to him sexually is possible for most girls. But that’s not where I found my silver lining.

If you get the chance of knowing him, you’ll see how attractive he is. Swimming, Hockey, Trekking, Barcelona, Batman — he knows how to set his priorities straight. Talk to him about a trek and see his eyes twinkle; it’ll feed you for a lifetime. His passions are often misconceived for his ideologies don’t fall in line with the greater youth of our generation. He doesn’t live to do girls and often ignores all attention he gets from them. Engrossed in his laptop mostly; he works as a Software Developer. Very well-versed with all concepts of his job he often gives his heart and soul to it. Imagine going to him & asking the difference between Development and Engineering. That’s how I started off. He sat amused by this calm little baby answering my questions with complete patience. Little did I know, we’ll get so far.

He isn’t someone who’ll show his love in complete forms. He won’t fall in love easily. He’ll quietly observe intricate details of your personality. He’ll see how you get anxious or nervous. He’ll notice the colours of my nail paint or the changes in my nose pins. He’s very observant. Little things escape his eyes once you catch his attention. I still remember the level of excitement in my life when I first figured that he had texted me. I had always been curious to know about him. He had a different impact on me. Slowly I shed all my ego and started texting him all the time. I didn’t even know how this whole process happened but with time it started feeling like a drug (He’s gonna kill me if I call this ecstasy; because it is his concept yougaiiiizzźz).

Shortly after dating him for a few months, I knew I was madly in love with him. Everything about him sweeps me off my feet. Investing yourself completely in a relationship can be too taxing in today’s generation. However, he has taught me to keep the magic alive..
