Roshan’s tale

Photo of food cart vendor’s bicycle, as he rode home yesterday. These cylinders are smaller than the ones in my home, which hold 14.2 kg gas each.

Roshan was riding home. His heart and his gas cylinder were both light.

Roshan’s egg roll food cart had done brisk business that day. His customers had lavished praise on his cooking. His cooking was the same, but they found the rolls scrumptious because of their lockdown break.

He was relived. The eggs had been expensive, and if he hadn’t sold any rolls, his family would have had to eat eggs for an expensive brunch and dinner. Normally, they stayed poor and vegetarian.

But today, Roshan’s heart and cylinder were both light.
