Dating : The Stranger — 1

Everything was calm. And absolutely silent. But in a matter of seconds, an explosion, followed by a light beam. The sky had become violet. It was the start of life. His life, at least. The Stranger opened his eyes, but kept himself still, laying down at the center of the crater. For a few seconds, he just stood there, admiring, and falling in love with the beautiful color the sky had taken for itself. It was the first thing those eyes saw, and to him, it was the most beautiful thing ever.

He decided to sit, so he did. He proceeded to examine his own body, searching for any injuries. He moved his arms, hands and fingers, “unlocking” his joints. Taking a look around, he found himself surrounded by walls made of rock. Looking further, he realized he was inside a mountain, even though it was open, it had no top. This word kept coming back to him. “Mountain”. He knew what it was, but he was not sure how he knew that, so he just put it in the pile of unanswered questions that were flying in his head. In front of him, a pathway. The only pathway possible.

Looking at it, he was able to see beautiful green woods, and very very far away, a dark forest. With that astonishing sight, his recently-formed heart started to beat faster and faster. Just the thought of the unknown that lied ahead made him strangely excited. He got up. His legs were a little weak, and somewhat numb, but that would not get in his way. The Stranger took a deep breath, and started walking.
