This is quite an eye opener for me. I come from an era before dating became common in India. The behaviour you have described drew hilarious pictures in my mind of the dates you had been on. I guess our men need to be sensitized and educated to be more in touch with their emotions rather than act as Neanderthals giving into caveman instincts of competitiveness. The fact that they are not in competition with the woman they are dating, seems to escape them. Or are they trying to prove themselves to be suitable mates by displaying their abilities to provide or root out competition?
