I’ve gotten dozens of messages from men in prison. They try to hide that they’re incarcerated, but they’re easy to spot with the pics they post. They just want to get someone caught up in their phony sob story so that they’ll send them money and shit like that. They’ve got a lotta time on their hands to send tons of messages, so they do. Things fall apart and they show their true colors when you tell them you don’t want to talk to anyone who’s locked up. Then they call you judgemental (or much worse), insult your appearance and intellect, and try to shame you for it as if not wanting to interact with a prison inmate is somehow a character flaw. I wish POF would crack down on those accounts for obvious reasons, but they don’t seem to care.

Do yourself a favor, send those pictures out to the net or their prison. Make their life what they asked for when they got caught. Criminals are always stupid

The stigma against criminals on dating site is too much, judging by these replies. Yeah, most are people you don’t wanna associate with at all like murderers, rapists, etc. But is the guy who got caught stealing a candy bar an irredeemable degenerate? The framed people? The teenagers/young adult who unintentionally made one bad prank or something gone bad? Why are all of them labeled as manipulative jerks? Again, psychopaths are but there is probably a few dudes in the bunch who are honest about being inprisoned and want to rebuild their lives again since they are out. Not to just manipulate and abuse the person in the other side. That’s NOT 100% of criminals.
I just don’t believe 100% of criminals deserve lifelong stigma and punishment from the public for like, a 2 month sentence or something. The ones locked up for life yeah, but there is value to a lot of prisoners too who truly repent. As Mr.Peanutbutter said « Everyone deserves to be loved »
Ok, minus the unrepenting rapists and murderers but yeah.
