POF : Clicking « Maybe » in MeetMe will pollute your Likes List
Good ol’ POF at it again. Just found out that hitting « maybe » on meet me offerings will include them in your likes list. Even though, as you can guess, you didn’t actually LIKE THE PERSON.
So, along with the likes list profiles being non-removable and the curious merging of likes and favorites (there’s a huge difference between your faves and people you are « liking » in order to see who likes you back), we now have this.
We all get it that the Match Group is letting this place die of natural causes, but the unintelligent decision making isn’t doing any favors, least of all themselves. The death will be accelerated instead of prolonged. Might be time for a Sherman Act Anti-Trust investigation for the online dating monopoly these geezers have!
Oh, and the icing on the cake: Profiles who come up in the Meet Me list are usually always online. So now you have to see their profiles first, at the top of your likes list. The only way to remove them is to wait until they delete their profile, or get them to block you, which can’t be done without risking an account ban. Awesome!

It’s been like that forever. Along with every person that’s ever had an account shows up. Can’t tell if you are liking a profile from 10 years ago until you’ve been through every single image.
UltraMatch is fubar too. You used to be able to remove matches to help the system learn. Now I’m not sure what the point of it is.
I’d wish they’d only show the age range you are allowing to contact you. But noooo. They take that and go a few years on either side of your range. Same for ‘online’ and matches. I’ve set my limits. I don’t need to see what I’m missing out on.
