POF : Different Rules for men and women.
Maybe it’s just In the state where I am but I’ve noticed VERY obvious double standards between men and women on POF.
I’ve seen
Men’s pictures get taken down immediately for having a filter but women have 4-5 filtered pictures.
Women have posts not including themselves (maybe a dog or just a meme) but men HAVE to be the ONLY person in the picture.
Men have to have a bio that’s at least a certain amount of words but I’ve seen women literally put « ….. »
Also, no Shirtless or « provocative » pictures for men but women can have twerking pictures or pictures of them half-naked (usually to promote only fans)

When I was on there I used to see loads of guys with only meme no person photos, photos of just food/drink, group photos and topless gym selfies. Also loads of guys have … in the profile or ‘I’ll fill this in later’
I don’t know if it’s different in the UK?
I can’t attest to this completely because I am female so I never see other women’s profiles. I do imagine that all images are reviewed once uploaded, and some may fall through the cracks. Then it’s up to other users to flag them.
I would take a guess that a dude would be less likely to flag a half naked woman than the other way around though. I mean, I personally wouldn’t flag a guy’s shirtless pic. I reason if they posted that, they’re trying to attract a certain type of connection, so it helps me swipe left. I do flag memes and photos with no people (when there’s no other photos on the profile to even see the person). I also flag blatantly gross or rude stuff too.
At the end of the day though, even if the rules appear to be different, it doesn’t bother me because I don’t post stuff that may get reported anyways. Is that why it’s annoying to you OP?
Unfortunately, alot of fakeness, had trolls following me around trying to catfish me, it’s pathetic, truly unfair. Sure fine I’ll put up a pic or two, but can’t have one added pic that’s not a head photo?? I had it and end up deleting, but maybe I join mostly out of boredom? I met mostly crazies and guess no real good luck. Anyhow hope everybody has a great day and evening

Because the photos are curated by the community and as such the people who vote will tend to let females get away with a bit more.

What makes it harder for males to find someone who is as interested in you are you are in them if you are a male vs a female?
Just because a group gets more messages, it does not change the odds of meeting a match.
It’s called modern day reverse sexual discrimination. Happens every day in America. If a man hits a woman, he goes to jail. A woman hits a man and the man is considered weak.
