POF : ‘Does drugs’
I’m hoping for advice on whether or not to mention anything on my profile about liking a joint(marijuana) a couple of times a month. I have selected does drugs and have mentioned a little on my profile so as to be honest, but should I just say nothing and leave it for conversation? Or am I better having something written so as to make it clear I’m not taking harder drugs? I imagine most people say nothing but I believe in being honest from the start.

Put 420 friendly in your interests section. I think that would clarify things
I might have a more conservative view on this, but I believe that even if you use marijuana, you should check the box « does drugs. »
Why? Because in most of the US marijuana is classified as an illegal drug. Due to my job, security clearance, and routine drug screenings at work, I can’t be around any kind of drug use. I personally have no issues with marijuana use, but I can’t risk my job to be around it.
So when I used POF I always stayed away from any profiles that said « does drugs » and if I later found out someone put they didn’t but they actually do (even 420) I had to break it off.

I never advertise that, I wait for the conversation to start, then asked them if they drink or smoke. They will usually say something like « weed or cigs? » And then I tell them weed, and go from there. Alot of women are surprisingly against MJ, and it could mess with a potential opportunity to get laid.
