POF : Does pof create fake profiles with ‘members only’ restriction(to get members to subscribe)?
I see fake profiles all the time with this restriction set. I’m thinking they added this setting just for this purpose as I don’t see many real women using it nor do I see a good reason. Like what man would subscribe JUST to contact one woman?

I’ve never seen a profile that is restricted to paying members only. I’m a woman, though.
Most of the fake female profiles I see are from « upgraded » users or will only communicate with upgraded users. Wouldn’t put it past POF at all.

No it doesn’t proactively create such accounts despite what people think however they don’t proactively delete them quickly enough when others create them.
If so, the teaser info is pretty lame. « Pay to Just Ask » is not a winning proposition.
I was thinking the same thing. Since there are so many fake accounts, wouldn’t surprise me if the company made these to get people to pay.
