POF : Is there anything that even pretends to be customer service?

POF : Is there anything that even pretends to be customer service?

I make my profile late one night and, obviously, can’t fill out the entire thing immediately. I have work tomorrow, PoF. So I just put down « test » as my bio. When I have a few minutes a few days later I find out… I guess it was deleted? I don’t even know since they never contacted me in any way, but I can’t sign in, retrieve my password, or create a new account, so I can only assume it was deleted for being « incomplete. »

I don’t think it’s unreasonable for a new profile to have an « under construction » period, and it’s pretty extreme to blacklist someone from making a new account forever for that. No idea how to contact anyone, though.

Given the way my experience has gone so far I wouldn’t bother, but I only have 2 results on OKC, so…. >.>

  1. There never is with online sites, they do not want to communicate with you unless you’re a subscriber. Even with social media sites it’s very limited. One of my cousins found someone using her pictures on a profile they just replied to block them, I told her that’s because if they deleted fake profiles they’re user numbers would but cut in drastic numbers, it looks good for the highest bidder that wants to pay them for information on users. Sadly, your profile is a data collection tool for advertisers.

    Give mobile apps a try

    Bumble
    Coffee meets bagle
    Hinge
    Happn

Any of the hook up/booty call apps are usually fronts to get your money, read the reviews you’ll see a lot of complaints about not being able to do much unless you pay.
