POF : Men with children, do you say you have kids on your profile? If you don’t, why?
I know a guy that just put his profile up and POF. The layout of the profile is shitty enough but I noticed that he put that he doesn’t have children. I’ve dating this man briefly so I know he has 2 small children. He also indicated on his profile that he’s « looking for a relationship » I don’t know what kind of relationship he’s seeking if he’s already lying.
Also, he put on there that he has a graduate degree…he BARELY has an undergraduates so that’s the second lie I see.
I’m not going to ask him because fuck him. I’m using him as an example.
Guys, if you really wanted a relationship, why would lie about having kids?

I dont know what is with the other replies but I have two girls and I put that I have them and their ages. I also have tried to send messages to women that also have kids or at least want them.
I didnt lie about anything in my profile. If you do that, you are likely just looking for a fling.
Guys lie about having children because they are worried it may scare women off. They lie about it because certain women may automatically assume that if they become significant other to the man they also become a person of importance to the children. And that might not be true. In short a guy can cast a wider net if he does not put it in his profile. Personally I don’t have children but others that do have expressed these thoughts to me.
