POF : Phone Verification required??
WTF is this crap??
I tried to give my Google Voice number but it wouldnt recognize it. I don’t want to give these scam artists my real # to be sold and abused.
Anyone else come across this? Any work around??

As far as i know no, other than having a PAYG burner sim handy. Mine asks for verification every time I log in. I rarely bother with it now.
Ditch em. This dictating crap with sites like this has got to stop. And no, you have to obey them, no way around the number bs. I’m done with them. My acct will just stay there. Another reason not posting a picture is a great idea, no worries my face will be out there indefinitely!
There is no way I’m giving POF my phone number so I guess I’m done with them. My account will just sink to the bottom until it gets deleted due to inactivity.
I changed my legit phone number, and damn them, the next day, they ask for phone # verification, even though I had an account for a month.
Fuck ’em. I wasn’t getting shit for dates anyway.

I dropped my land line about five years ago and don’t think it has been reassigned. I’ve continued to use it occasionally and might have used it with POF.
