POF : POF vs tinder popularity?
Compared to okcupid and tinder. Well the tinder subreddit is just for meme pics. But why is this subreddit so much smaller (less members) than okcupid? POF supposedly has much more members than okcupid?
I know tinder is popular these days but if you live in a big city there are a lot of girls who join POF every day. Does anyone know if tinder has more members now? I heard people say « POF is dead and tinder is in » but POF still seems to have a lot of new users daily. I haven’t tried tinder so I don’t know how it compares. Anyone? Also, I have noticed that no POF around 1 in 30 girls seem to be normal girls who are not total sluts or totally crazy or totally fucked up in one way or another. But it seems like tinder is like 1 in 100 girls is looking for a relationship the others just want hookups.
I am wondering if I should try tinder. I am a 7/10. On POF I message girls from 4/10 to 7/10. I have a pretty high response rate, around 1 in 3 girls reply. The problem is that no matter how good the conversation is, after a few days they ghost. I had 2 girls (the funny thing is that one was a 7/10… she talked to me more than all the 4/10s. she seemed like a real normal girl though who actually wanted a relationship, unless the other weird garbage girls on POF) talk to me daily for 2 days and we hit it off well but then they ghosted: obviously they got messaged by a better looking guy and dropped me in a second. I already wasted a month of my life every night on this stupid site. It is exhausting and draining.
I am wondering if tinder would be any better?

Yes and NO. Online dating could be useful in some ways and you can meet women off of it but it comes with a lot of crap as well. Women use it for attention and validation.
Not really if one is better than the other.
Tinder works based on proximity and attractiveness, it was designed for getting laid but people state they’re not on it for booty calls. Your limited to how much you can put on the profile, because it’s all about getting laid, listing interest your goals is not required. Depending on the age range, some make fun of it, older age group make it into an actual dating app.
If you live in rural area tinder will not work well unless you put 100 mile range and you’ll get a few profiles per day. It is geared for metro cities. You’ll get into noticing people will have multiple dating profiles. Don’t be surprised if messaging in tinder goes cold, it happens a lot, just the way people are.
I met up with a tinder connection last night, she said she was burnt out on POF and it’s nice not getting messages from someone in another state. With both POF and tinder try to meet in a timely manner, 2 weeks or more of texting you’re wasting your time.
Messaging that much and didn’t have a date set up? Clearly she didn’t think you were serious. You need to MOVE on that sooner. Early bird gets the worm.
The positive thing Tinder has going for it is that it’s a mutual match. I find a lot of guys message on POF that I would not date (for one reason or another, not always looks). With Tinder, as long as someone had something on their profile, you have a better chance of a meet up as you both agree that you find the other attractive and/or interesting.
Granted there are still those on there that match and never message! Give it a shot, just dont put all your eggs in that basket either. Good luck!
