POF : Question for men
I’m 41F, attractive. Good looking guy (47) messages me. We banter a bit and go to text. He then suggests he’ll send a naked picture. Ok fine. After a bit more banter he suggests I send some in return which I immediately shot down.
A few more back and forth texts and ghosted.
The guy is good looking, in good shape and runs 2 businesses as well as being retired from an admirable career.
Are guys really trolling POF trying to get naked photos? Can’t you find them for free all over the internet?

Its huge problem with online dating. Catfishing is huge. I cant tell you how many times I have put pictures into a google image search only to return it is the pohoto of some Instagram model. Ive also caught gay guys posing as women. I would say take everything you hear about someone with a grain of salt until you actually get to know him.
I would go out on a limb and say that is the photo of someone else. Id be wary that he runs two businesses and being retired from an admirable career. Anything too good to be true usually is.
My two cents is that the people don’t ask for nudes to coolect them because they can get porn anytime, anywhere. They ask because it is a power thing. They like the power of being able to manipulate people. Its the root cause of a lot of sociopathic behavior.
Oh here’s another thing scammers like doing. They like getting nudes from girls so they can use those nudes to trick guys into giving them nudes. Then when the guy sends them nudes, they can threaten to post them all over the internet unless they send them money. That has happened to friends before. But that happens more on « fetish » sites.
If you do any online dating, prepare to get ghosted, A lot!
« Question for dickheads « is more like it. THERE IS A GROUP of guys who are just everyday single guys who dont ask for nudes, and treat everyone with respect because that’s how they want to be treated. Do not lump all men into what you experienced please. There is alot of decent guys out there.
Yes. Men do it all the time. If it’s not men looking for nudes, it’s women trying to get money for nudes.
His wife found out.

I guess he expected an even trade.
You weren’t the only one he was talking too, and maybe was getting better response from others.
Seriously, the guy sends you a dick pic and you didn’t run off right then? What did you think he was going to ask for after sending you dick pics?
Chances are, those pictures aren’t of him, that he’s lying about his career, and pretty much everything else.
He was hoping to escalate the pics into getting laid. Sending pics early can reasonably be taken as a sigh that you’re easy.
