POF : Why do my search parameters keep changing and not apply to near me?
I put my age parameters in and they shrink and go up to 5 years older than me. In near me I get a seemingly random mix of ages and smoking/drinking/height/kids or not parameters and random live streamers who aren’t even in my country.
I should just fuck this app off yeah?

I had the same problem so I deleted my account.
I found the POF search function quite useless. I read something in here that stated the problem may go away if you start a new account. I haven’t tried that yet myself.
« Near Me » are just users that are near you, that aren’t necessarily within your search criteria. They’re just nearby.
Live has a bunch of different headers, one of which is « Trending », which is the first header thats displayed. These are wordwide. If you touch on « Nearby » (under live) you can select streamers that are nearby. Next to the « Go Live! » button in the middle, there’s a filter button, that allows who you want to be shown in Live, male, female, near your age, and Location (mine has Australia, Australia and Oceania, and Anywhere)
Search can be hit an miss in regards to criteria, but it might just mean that there’s no one in your area that takes in all of your criteria online. I know it does change criteria if there’s not many people online, to increase your options.
Let’s just be honest and trying to search on POF is like searching for a needle in a haystack. It’s now everything is behind a pay wall they took away the view me you can only view to people on the website not on the app everything‘s pay for this pay for that. I just deleted it again for like the fifth time I can’t stand anymore all it’s about all I get are the notifications for the stupid people that are going live on the live section like I could care less about these idiots paying them money and tipping them as at their job no it’s not a dating app POF is no longer a dating app is nothing but a PG-13 only fans at all it is for people that have no lives pathetic simp men. To spend their real world money to show up as a top tipper for the person whether it’s a man or woman doesn’t matter it’s it’s garbage Eileen Dating is gone just dad if you’re at top-tier Chad you’re in you’re not a top-tier Chad and people are gonna say all you need to go work on yourself you need to work out and go get muscles and get bath it doesn’t matter if you get bath. What’s the point of being boss you can’t have shirtless pictures and even if you can women don’t even reply back to you or look at you or you’ve given give you a second look they don’t care nobody on that say ever replies garbage all to about is the live section.
