Looking at the timeline of my current beau’s convo, he messaged me on his birthday, chatted with some pleasantries, exchanged likes, and planned on having a date. However, the chat stopped for almost a month and just this years Mothers Day, Out of the 165+ matches I made, He is the only one who greeted me. I thought he was thoughtful. He was more than that. I was 25 miles away, living in a new city and reluctant as much as i want to expand my network, to meet people. Then he offered to get me an uber, To and From where I lived at that time to meet him, have dinner, and see how it goes from there.
Date time arrived, he came with flowers and wine. Then went out to have more wine and dinner. That night was amazing! Saw him the following day. It wasnt a week after when i saw him next, but this time he gave me a copy of the Key To His Place…
We just passed our 2nd month… We’re still in our « Getting To Know Each Other Phase ». We are in our 40s, I Have kids, He doesnt. I was married before, and he wasnt. We were talking about how fast we went and also talked about how we are « not young » anymore but still « proceed with caution ».
