Dating : Sunrise

A poem.

he was — 
the most peculiar sunrise
unplanned
never before seen
an orange glow
iridescent demeanor
something I’ve looked for 
but never known.

he was — 
someone inexplicable
he left me without words
how could I describe
what I saw in his eyes
or how the sound of the water
paled in comparison
to the way he called my name

he is — 
worth every storm I was stuck in
stronger than the strongest I’ve loved

as if he knew, I was waiting for him
a sunrise unlike any other I’ve known.
