h2>Dating : Follow my Pursuit for Love

Quickly after everything. My foray into online dating began. This was an exciting and scary new territory for me. I knew I wasn’t ready for a relationship but what would it hurt if I went on a date or two. I was still new to the city so I rationalized to myself that it would be a good way to meet people and also get out and explore with someone instead of on my own.
Tinder, Bumble, Hinge; Ive tried them all. They all have the same premise with a different format. Upload a couple photos. Write a short non descriptive bio. Answer a few questions about yourself. Then the fun begins. Swipe left. Swipe right. Judgment is cast with the flick of a finger. We strip people down from their personalities, the things that makes them special and unique. Instead we base everything on the best photos they could find, the one that tells a story, a glimpse into their lives. It all seems daunting, doesn’t it.
Over the years I have collected my fair share of dating stories. As my friends have kindly stated; It’s been a revolving door of men. With it theres been good, bad, and ugly. But I regret very few. Each man that has passed through my life has taught me a lesson, I know that sounds cliché but they have helped shape the women that I have became. Hopefully over time I can begin to pick away at the black crust that has formed over my heart and learn to let myself be loved again. Until then I’ll share my stories and maybe they will help some learn from the mistakes I have made.
Follow my journey as I navigate the waters of my love life. At times it will make you want to laugh, while feeling emotionally exhausted for me.
