Yes, it does take time but not because our hair is not manageable — simply because we might have a bit too much. If it gets unmanageable — we are then using the wrong products for our hair texture.
Nappy hair women tried at least one time to straighten their hair. It might often be for a change or length check like I do. However, an affirmation often comes when seeing us with straight hair, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS DO IT STRAIGHT — YOU LOOK SO HOT. That is when Beyonce will allow you to say #BOYBYE
If I decide to go on a first date with my straight hair — Wow! I just created a monster. Even though my pictures on the dating app were with kinky hairstyles.
If we go on dates during winter, you will definitely see me with stretched hair or straight for a while and it does not mean that I hate my nappy hair or I decided to betray my ancestors.
