Dating : Are You Thinking About Love, or Are You Ready For Love?

So let’s go back to the stalling phase again.

We try to make sense of the world around us before jumping into life-changing ventures, such as career shifts or committing to a relationship, because we understand that change means losing control of the situation.

But change is inevitable, darling — that’s how I try to calm myself when I find my brain in the process of stalling.

Letting go of control does not mean embracing chaos. It simply means trusting the universe will bring you closer to the next destination of your long journey.

Letting go of control also means trusting yourself.

When you stop trying to control every single detail in life, you can finally focus on the things that are entirely up to you — your habits, your diet, your choices, your words, your time.

Life can throw unpredictable challenges and challenging people your way, so it is up to you to master the ability to respond to unprecedented situations in a calm, understanding matter.

But only you can choose to let go of control. And if your intuition is telling you to focus on yourself, then perhaps it’s not time just yet for commitment with others.

Yet if you allow me to contradict myself for a second, you can never be truly ready about love. How it hits you in the stomach like butterfly season in motion, how it grounds you to someone as if they’re second home, how everything else appears to lose its meaning if they are not around, yours truly.

So if you’ve been thinking about love, you might really be ready to trust the universe and yourself again. And if you’ve got that one person in mind, perhaps it’s time to take the leap of faith?

When you embrace who you are, love will find its way to you. After all, you are made of love. You will only be attracting more of it.
