Day 16: You stole a Kingdom’s throne by force.
A kingdom, a throne, and a promise to the fallen
Banished, exiled, yet now I came back calling
Treason, betrayal, and I once fell from grace
I vowed, I plotted, for I will regain my place
Distraction, attraction, I claimed his beloved’s heart
One-sided, blind-sided, I tore their life apart
How could you? Why would you? His screams filled the hall
Vengeance, redemption, I came to claim them all
Cheater! False! his accusations pierced deep
An arrow, to the marrow, and the King went to sleep
Footsteps, doorsteps, I entered the royal suit
Wimping, weeping, I kissed her upon the cheek
Murderer, she whispered, and rose to sound the shout
A slash, a throat cut, she fell with a gurgling sound
My Kingdom, my throne, and my promise to the fallen
Reclaimed, reframed, a New King come the morning

I’m honestly bad when it comes to poetry, but here’s something for the challenge I suppose — and that’s why it’s a challenge.
