Exhausted, Charles sat down heavily on the floor next to the newly cemented area of his cellar floor. A smile didn’t come to his face as he hoped it would, but still he was glad it was finally over. Tom was buried beneath this basement forver. John would assume he just disappeared and the case would eventually be closed and justice served. Charles felt the guilt slowly slip into his body. It was an emotion he would have to live with. The price he had to pay for serving out justice.
