Erica

As the gloom enveloped the city, leaving everything gray, she sat in the silent library room. Little people, all the size of a rice grain, walked through the park- which was also gray.

The trees, with all of their leaves gone, were left naked and exposed. This allowed the girl to see birds perched upon the branches. The white snow covered the once green and luscious grass; nothing but a sweet silence overtook the usually bustling city. A quiet Saturday afternoon.

After some time, rain began to fall. A slow, soft, and gentle rain. The gloom began to grow and with it came even more rain. Little droplets hit the window of the library room. And soon enough, more and more droplets began to form- leaving the city looking evermore beautiful.

The fog was persistent. It left the far off buildings, which were usually left exposed and crisp to the eyes, nothing but distant memories. No longer could she see those buildings- for the fog had enveloped all of them.

And soon enough, the mist like rain soon transformed into a heavy downpour.
