Great article, Benjamin. I’m discouraged in my online dating. I’m running into exactly this problem. Can’t even get a second date, probably because the men are hoping for someone “better” to come along. Thing is, he doesn’t even KNOW me! How can you judge a person you don’t even know the least thing about? I blame our short attention spans.

I don’t remember a time when everyone seemed so judgmental. I admit that I do it myself sometimes but I’m at least aware it’s a problem. I believe in being a bit more patient and spending a little time to get to know someone. Wish more people would do that. Instead, it’s all about instant gratification.

Once guys learn I’m not going to jump into bed with them on the first or second date, POOF! They’re gone. All I can say is “good riddance.”
