Dating : Here comes September!

Summer is fading out,

the heat still in the air,

the cool of autumn,

still not quite here.

It is Back to School season

School is back in session

but what does it mean

that we are still home?

The Mid-August fatigue,

mixed with wildfires

and fear that,

lingers in the air.

The Sun that shines brightly,

blood tinted as an ember,

smoke hangs like haze

over-harvested or burnt fields.

With Asters and Sunflowers,

Dahlias and last of the Roses,

Joining the late summer blooms.

Here comes September,

with a promise of relief

bringing hope and zoom!
