So glad to connect with another pilgrim. Actually, I’ve written several pieces about hiking Camino. Together they may be more of the story you seek. So glad you commented.

I imagine your way from Rome to Istanbul was extremely lonely. I can hear it in your words and feel it in those steps.

Your perspective takes me back to the very roads we traveled. I am not sure if it is better or not that we hiked with our kids, but it was certainly different. Sometimes it helped us connect better. Other times it deepened our disconnectedness.

Regardless, we knew angels were carrying us, both in the people we met and in the spiritual nature.
