If you’re reading this it’s probably because you don’t have a guy in your life right now but you have a guy in mind or maybe you have a guy but you don’t really know where you stand in the relationship because he’s not very responsive to your texts.
I don’t normally write stories about myself but I think this part of my life was maybe interesting enough to share with others and they might get some value out of it.
I, unfortunately, lost my husband about seven years ago and when he passed away I didn’t know how I was going to go on. I never thought I’d find any one else and I didn’t know if I even wanted to.
As time went on I got more and more lonely and thought that I was now at a point in my life where I could start dating. To my surprise (or lack of it) I soon realized that dating was not the same as it was back in the day that I was dating.
I’m not old (by some standards), I’m somewhat tech savvy and yes, I do text. I actually do prefer to text for the most part. It gives me a chance to think about what to say before I blurt it out.
I did have contact with a couple of guys that I was interested in and I thought they had interest in me but nothing ever came out of the texting conversations that we were having.
So what does a girl (woman) in this day and age do? She takes to the internet of course. Hello Google….
How do I text a guy? How do I text a guy I’m interested in? How do I text a guy to make him want me?
Oh my gosh! I had so many questions of the same variation and I received lots of answers. Believe it or not I was not the only one looking for these answers but what I got wasn’t quite what I was looking for.
I wasn’t looking to find exotic or sexy ways to lure a man in. I was looking for a real relationship, not just a relationship for sex. Can you guess which gender those ideas came from? Yea….men!
So I kept searching. There has got to be a better way and then I found this program written by a woman who is a relationship expert. Maybe you’ve heard of it…Text Chemistry by Amy North. It had a lot of great reviews but did I really want to buy into what could be a scam?

Back to my story of my love life or lack thereof…
After I got the Text Chemistry* book I immediately read and reread it. It was so different from what I was reading on-line. I really felt like Amy got into the mind and chemistry of guys and found what makes them tick so you can relate better to them.
So I decided what it was I was going to text my guy friends (something different for each one) and hit send and sat back and waited. I was willing to wait for an hour or so because that was still less time than what would normally be for them to get back to me and you will not believe it….
I swear both of them got back to me within five minutes! Well shoot, now what? I really wasn’t expecting both of them to get back to me!
Long story short….I did date both of them for awhile (they both were aware) because I really didn’t know which one I would be suited for the best or vise versa. When I did find the one we did end up falling in love and we’ve been together for just over four months now!
