Dating : Lisa is waiting for Jake, A Short Story

This was the first in the University. Lisa was frightened and a little disturbed. She entered the class with heavy steps and pale facial expressions. Walking from the front of the class she silently sits down on the far backside of the class alone.

One by one every new student of the year was entering the class with little bit surprising expressions on the face. When the first professor enters the class, the sullen expressions of the class both young boys and girls worsened.

Professor Jake introduced himself as an assertive, disciplined, and strict personality of the Transportation Department. Meanwhile, Professor Jack was introducing himself, a new student knocks the door and enters the class straight to the far backside of the seat where Lisa was sitting alone in an awkward silly expression.

Professor has discussed everything mandatory in the class in his period and went. The class got a break at around 12:00 Pm. All were strangers and were unaware of each other. It was seeming that a whole bunch of strangers all over Virginia were gathered in one class where no one knows anyone else.

Lisa inside was feeling hunger and a strong feeling of food, snacks, French fries, burger, pizza, and cold drinks. In her deep contemplation to find the food she stood up but negligently when she creaking her chair backward she didn’t notice the Edward behind her and hit her the chair in her hurry. Edward had already had the injury in his ankle and it caused him immense pain. But Lisa compassionately took him to the café to appease him and relieve him of the pain she had given Edward.

After refreshment when Edward found his consciousness rehabilitated and energized to observe the surroundings in a little bit clear way, he noticed Lisa. Her crooked nose, dented cheeks, shining eyes, brown hairs, long height, broad chest, and thin lips make him stunned.

From the background, Edward was a wealthy person. His father Jonathan was a businessman and was running the business of Ferrari cars. Lisa was also looking at him in deep reverence and sympathy that she has caused him great pain. She apologized to Edward and he said no problem. Edward said beyond measure and reasons you care me too much and it was not even your fault. I was the one who sat behind you more nearby. So don’t say that again!

Serendipitously, that day Edward after getting an ache was feeling the pain and at the same time the joy and euphoria of the beauty of the Lisa. Edward was reticent in expressing his feelings and thoughts. Lisa was garrulous and expressive. Edward by saying to Lisa “See you tomorrow” and “Really it was ever great experience, a happy moment, and a loving memory ever to meet you” stand up and went away.

The next day Lisa came splendidly. She was looking very beautiful. Her smile, her subtle walking, her stating brown hairs, and her high sandals were making her more beautiful. When she arrived in the class she was just sat at the same seat she was sitting yesterday on. Lisa was constantly looking towards the door. Her eyes were becoming heavier, her head was dizzying, and her thoughts were agitating. She was nostalgically waiting for Edward. In an instant, the professor entered the class she instantly looks at him but become sad. He was not Edward at all. The lecture started, all lights were shining in full baroque, the slides were running on the project, and she was feeling restive and disquiet as a soul had been taken away from her.
