Dating : Remember the Calm

So free of yesterday’s noise:
Our footsteps echo on pavements –
once busy with clattering hoards.

It’s time to gather peace,
let silence soothe.

And when the traffic’s back to push and shove –
and the rattle and squawk of life returns to bite,
remember those soft footfalls (between parked cars and concrete),
and let the stillness in to calm the fray.
