Grace Bianco

Grace Bianco here. I have been married for twenty-nine days.

The morning started off like every other week day morning recently. I got up after two alarms went off and still hitting snooze. Why does my husband have to be so warm and sleep so peacefully in the morning?

I got up anyways. I looked at my phone, and thought to myself, “Hm.. February 8th? Why does that date sound familiar..? … Eh, it’s early. Who knows?”

As soon as I got to work, the four year old ran up to me, “It’s my brother’s birthday. He’s two.”

“Ugh!! What a face palm!! I have only been working here for the past two and a half years,” I thought to myself.

I responded to the four year old and now two year old, “Of course, it is!! Happy Birthday, Bud!!”

When I was leaving work, the mom I work for handed me cupcakes. She wanted my husband and I to be able to celebrate the baby as well. I work for the most down-to-earth and thoughtful family. How could I have forgotten the little one’s birthday??

My husband and I ate the cupcakes when I got home. They were so good.

After devouring all that sugar and waking up early that morning, I took a nap on top of my husband. According to him, I snored my head off. I needed that nap.

My husband and I began to get ready to go over to my parents’ house to spend time with my siblings and parents. We were going to eat dinner and play dominoes (Mexican Train to be exact).

On the way, I made sure to stop at a store to get the two year old a present. I got him a superman action figure since his new thing has been carrying around a spiderman.

When we got to my parents’, my brother-in-law said, “Did you guys see the new shirt I got Kristen for Valentine’s Day?” My sister proceeded to unzip her jacket, and on her shirt, it read, “Mom Life”.

My sister is having a baby!! How exciting!! I love holding newborns, and helping out new moms. I can hardly wait for this sweet little baby to be born.

She is only six weeks along. I am convinced it’s a boy, and a lot of my family agrees. (I am writing it here. So, I can go back when I am right.)

We ate soup and played dominos. My pregnant sister ended up winning.

My husband and I went home, and ended the night by reading a chapter from “Dear Romantic” and Genesis.

That was my day… How was yours?

See you tomorrow!! Until follow me on Instagram @ gracekbianco for more!
