Dating : The Bird Walker

I have never heard of this before.

Old guy with a limp
walking his parrot
with a gimp in his leg
each day!

Walking your parrot?
What a treat!
Talking to him as he
walks the street.

Stops to talk to the ducks-
like me!
Unique reason to walk each day
I must say.

Green parrot.
New day.
Beautiful weather.
Clear skies.
Walk a parrot, what a riot!

Stopped him one day
to take a closer look.
The parrot was shy, but sweet.
What a guy!

The man told me he raised other birds
all his life,
But only has this one now.
I felt a knife slice his heart in memory.

I saw him this morning.
He’s never boring with his tales
of his birds and life.

Stop to talk to the unusual.
