Dating : Things that fall eventually break.

Love that changed into mistrust and hate but peace was brought about by a child.

Seven months pregnant, Mary is dumped by her fiancée whom she has been in love with and dating for five years.

Collins fell in love with Mary in 2014 when he had just started working at a certain editing firm as an accountant. Just like the common love stories, Mary and Collins had theirs. At this time Mary had just completed three years as a teacher. They went out for dinners, lunch, late-night movies and also holiday together. Everyone envied their rapport. “I wish my husband were like Collins. I wish I were Mary. What a perfect relationship these two have,” people spoke.

All was well until the night of October 10th, 2019 when Collins came home at 11.30 pm which was so unlike him. He came into the home, says hello to his wife and tells her that he was with his friends having some discussion. Mary is angry and she decides to go to bed. In her mind, she starts doubting her soon to be husband. The night was really long for her.

Collins wakes up early the following morning to prepare a good breakfast for his fiancée, Mary. He prepares sausages, bacon, cake, mango juice and some tea for both of them. Later he set off to heat the shower for her and reads Rich Dad Poor Dad as he waits for his fiancée to come down for breakfast.

Mary wakes up in a sombre mood, prepares herself for school and goes for breakfast. Her mood gets enlightened by the breakfast her fiancée has made, “Wow! What time did you wake up and do all this Collins? I love it”

“Good morning sweetheart,” says Collins.

“Good morning to you too honey,” replies Mary.

My wife, one of these days I will surprise you with what I am working for all I need is just your patience and trust. Let’s enjoy our breakfast.

For two weeks Collins continued coming home late. This made his pregnant soon to be wife to believe that her man was cheating on her.

Collins was in a group of five men who were business-minded persons and they were meeting late after their jobs so as to plan on their next business strategy. The business was doing well for them. Albeit Collins did not want to tell Mary as he wanted it to be a surprise for her 26th birthday.

27th October, 2019 late in the afternoon, Collins comes home early as it’s his fiancées birthday. It is also the day for the surprise. With a bouquet flowers in his left hand and chocolate plus the business contract in his right hand, Collins walks confident and happy into his house. To his disbelief, he finds a certain man with his wife on their bed being intimate…

The flowers and the chocolate falls from his hands as his joyful mood turns into anger. Collins leaves. And that is how the rapport between Mary and Collins shuttered into pieces.

Mary was left alone as Collins later married another woman of his dreams. He keeps coming to see his kid and is part of his growth gladly.
