h2>Dating : Two Kinds of Peace.

Let us beware of striving so hard for negative peace within us that we miss the positive peace.
To surrender into true peace, we don’t need to fight and make a desert.
Peace is abundance and plenty, not the mere absence of strife and violence.
We can do violence to the Kingdom of Heaven, but who are fooling?
That is why we are free to surrender into it…
Jesus never caught one discipline by saying:
Follow me, or you will suffer the consequences.
He did not even threaten the corrupt judges, clerics and soldiers of his time, although so many of us would no doubt have returned railing for railing, curse for curse, buffet for buffet, spit for spit.
Follow me. And leave all you have.
Not to simply abandon our responsibilities to our fellow human beings and to all living creatures, but to truly serve them, by emptying ourselves out of all that is truly insufficient to love.
Our love often flickers, and waxes cold.
That is why we need to borrow from others, and then we can lend of our oil to them as well.
And all mercy and love and self-sacrifice of the suffering and servants comes down from the Father of Lights, for whom all is day; and cherished in the Motherhood of the assembly of those who seek good from Good, and find true dignity in the power of kenosis (a spilling out of all that takes us away from who we truly are, in our most joyful and loving and compassionate being, in God most high).
And peace upon you and your house.
