Dating : Warm

The fireplace is cackling flames, snickering smoke, as he sits on his chair pushing his toes into the carpet and rocking himself ever so slightly. He’s on chapter six and the story is really in the thick of it now. The hero has his hands full as he rushes about the city in an old clunker. Time is running out. The pages are turning faster.

The cat starts meowing from the kitchen, announcing her arrival. She’s awakened and is in need of attention.

With the fire dancing, the pages turning, and the cat purring on a warm lap, he smiles.
