h2>Dating : Without You —

I roll over, my head changing the imprint on my pillow.
Before my eyes flutter open, my heart jumps, knowing.
I don’t need to open my eyes to know you’re not there.
Your presence fills my world,
but this room is empty and cold without you.
No birds sing as my eyes alight on the window.
The suns rays seem dull,
they warm nothing.
My limbs are heavy as I drag myself to the edge of the bed.
My face finds my hands and rests there as a long sigh escapes my lips.
The world is calling.
The sky is blue.
The day offers endless possibilities,
except that of seeing you.
And as I set off,
with a smile for the doorman,
my heart rests like a stone sinking fast to the riverbed
chasing the phantom caress of your kisses
I found in my dreams.
