POF : Am I being played? [25M]

So I’ve been on PoF for a while now, had plenty of matches and chats. Some fell through, but about 15 have progressed to messaging on WhatsApp or Kik and seemed to go be going great, there was even one lass who seemed literally perfect and had me smitten. We’d sent pictures, chatted non-stop, and arranged to meet. She even deleted her PoF saying she’d made up her mind with me. She was only the most recent person who agreed to meet and set a date and time, there have been others. Every single one has stood me up and disappeared without a word.

My question to Reddit is; am I stupidly being fooled by heartless but convincing bots, is there something wrong with me, or is the dating world just full of horrible people?
