POF : Anyone else ready to delete POF because of all the spam?
Damn the spammers on it today. Logged into POF and within 3 minutes had 13 new messages, all of them are the standard « Hey there 🙂 » message from obvious fake profiles. I go to search and the first 3 pages of local profiles are all fake profiles. Normally I take the time to report them, but this is getting ridiculous.

Yeah its brutal. A good 50-75% of the views my profile gets are spambots promoting Fasthump or some other such bullshit. Not to mention the constant barrage of people who want to « meet me » who are not real. Every site has fake profiles for sure, but it seems its an epidemic on POF. It’s crazy.
POF is the worst dating site I’ve ever used. I get 5 messages every morning from obvious fake profiles that speak poor English, about 1/3 of the female profiles I see are fake. Real Female users also never really seem to respond to the messages I send them, and even when they do, they don’t seem very interested. And I actually take the time and read their profile, and try to connect with them, but they just have a rock hard shell. I’ve been on that site for over a year, sent 80 some messages and haven’t even been on a single date. And lately, there’s this 1000 dollar Wal-Mart gift card pop up that boots you off the site, and makes you have to close the tab, open a new one, and log back in. And there have been times where it pops up so much I can’t even use the site.
I noticed from guy friends that guys get a ton of spam. One of my friends showed me his POF and it was all bots. POF was never like that until Markus sold to match and its gotten a lot worse. I get guy bots all the time
I got rid of it a while ago. Only trouble with that is that instead of very few dates I now go on zero..
I never got replies from real women on there so I left.
At that time the spam wasn’t so bad, seems to be getting worse over time.
I tried it out for about a month and it sucked. The bottom of the barrel there my friend. I’ve officially dubbed it Plenty of Fakes, Flakes, Fatties and Families. I put plenty of time in reading profiles as well as creating my own quite lengthy description. Lots of worthless responses from girls that had the personality of a broom stick. Also, had three different girls offer me their phone numbers. Talked to one of them and texted a bunch with the other two. NONE of them would meet up with me. Never turned me down just had one bullshit excuse after another. The rest of the waters were full of spammers, princesses , « single » mothers and obese women that consistently abused the « average » body type category. Dog, what a nasty place?! I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy.
I get them all the time
