POF : Did she message back..? No? Ok.
It’s a bit deflating when you see a profile and think they’re attractive. Then click their profile and see that are actually attractive AND could be real. Then you read their profile and checkmark after checkmark flys off the page. You finally gird your loins, shoot your best shot and a week later..nothing lol. Cant do anything except keep scrolling but still a bit of a downer.

I’m a woman who has an account on POF. This may not be what’s happening but this is what happens with me. I unhid my profile and I literally got 50 messages in one day. For me that is overwhelming. And I literally read each message, look at the profile, and go from there. I try and respond to everybody. So I guess the universal responses if they’re not interested they don’t respond. I think that’s kind of shitty. My thoughts are if they’re taking the time to look at my profile and actually read it then regardless if it’s someone I’m interested or not I would respond back.
It’s hard though because if I respond to somebody and thank him for responding and I’m not interested they get bent out of shape regardless so. It’s kind of a mixed bag. I just wanted to let you know that not all women on POF are assholes.
Just not enough women using the site.
If someone starts a conversation with hey sexy or something to that effect I usually ignore it
I’m not saying you do that but that’s one of the reasons I ignore someone
Usually with the men but you can tell because they claim to be military. And then they say they’re overseas somewhere and then it somewhere where I know for a fact there are no military bases. They’ll chat you up for a little bit and they’ll be like oh I tried to update my iPhone and I need an iTunes card can you send it to me and I’m like blocked

I message the ugliest women and they still don’t reply. Well they *might* reply, but they never want to meet for a date and will block me even though I did nothing wrong.
