POF : Do Other Males Experience This on PoF?
To give some backstory, I was the awkward, nerdy type all throughout my youth and never even started dating until my late 20s. I’m now 30, healthy and in decent shape, have been told that I appear younger than I am (most guess 25-28), and have both spending money and transportation to enjoy this facet of life. (Yay Me!)
I did grow up in a strict religious household and though I no longer subscribe to the tenets of the religion, some things have been retained, like abstaining from casual sex. I have absolutely no interest in that until marriage (and then only with my wife), but am not grossed out, disgusted, or preachy against people who want that; we simply are after different things.
The problem seems to be, at least in my area, that the people who reach out or message back are ONLY after that. I have had about six case of people replying with nudes and/or sending seductive-style messages back asking me when I’ll have my way with them. I usually respond with a polite decline and say that I’m waiting for a serious relationship before considering that.
I do live in the rural Midwest, so maybe that’s contributing to it. Again, I have nothing against casual sex, its just not my thing; I also make it painfully clear in my bio that I’m after marriage, not sex. Have any other guys encountered this on PoF – the lightspeed ramp up to sex and nudes being sent? Thanks!

Sounds like you’re getting messages from bots but are so innocent you don’t realise it.
Those are bots. They’re not real.
I think you’ll have a very tough time finding person you’re looking for in real life, let alone on pof. Other than heavily religious people, hardly anybody will wait that long. They’re aren’t many of those at 30 either.

No one wants a virgin or a guy who sucks in bed. I look at casual sex as a way to continue to improve my abilities more than getting off. But no women here don’t approach men where I’m from on the east coast

Good luck on waiting on a woman to wait to have sex until marriage these days. There may be less than 1 in 10,000 women that abstain from sex. They will most have had multiple partners in their 20’s and 30’s. And who wants some older woman that is divorced, and has had sex with their ex hundreds of times over 10 years of marriage? Not me.
