POF : do scammers ask to talk to you on Kik?
I’m a guy and have a question about something that’s happened a few times now. I’ll be chatting to a woman, a handful of back and forth messages, and they suddenly ask to talk to me on kik, much sooner than I’d assume most women would be comfortable with. Am I just being paranoid? Or is this a thing that scammers actually do — try to get you off POF and onto kik? I just don’t see how a scammer would benefit talking to me on kik, but it feels odd if it’s real.

Kik is the classic sexploitation platform. They’ll start off with normal enough convo then mention they’re horny, send you one of 5 pics they have and then try blackmailing you, either on receipt of a picture you send, or claim they’re actually 14 and they’ll go to the police unless you pay.
