POF : Getting tons of fake profiles from scammers but aren’t quite sure about one? Simply ask to voice verify on the phone.
They will never ever do it. There are the obvious, « hi just go to this website to verify etc » scams.
But the « just text me at this number, » Or even just the ones where they’re trying to gather information from you for God knows what purpose. « So how long have you been on the site? How old are you? What do you do? And on and on. Those, that make you feel like somethings off, but you cant quite be sure. Just ask to talk on the phone briefly.
Obviously use a burner number like talkatone so they’re not getting your real number.
What I like to say when they start trying to gather information is, hey I’d like to talk to you more, you down to chat on the phone for a minute?
A scammer will never do it. Has worked 100% of the time so far here.
If it’s a cam girl, she *might* talk to you on the phone, but I haven’t seen that yet, and I suspect even most of the cam girls are actually dudes putting fake cam shows together.

This is one reason that my profile pics include one with an identifiable local landmark in the background. No scammer will go through that much trouble.
A google image search on profile pictures will often out someone as a scammer. It will show up in a lot of locations. Bonus, some scammers use profile pictures from women who have nudes on the internet so they have something to share down the road. With average google-fu you can often find them.
