POF : Hide « online now » in message center
If you hide our profile, will online now still show up in the message center with people you have messaged? According to a few google searches it hides you in search and won’t show last online but people you have messaged can still see your online now status. Kinda stinks. I’m talking to quite a few men to narrow it down and every time i’m online they come at me. I could block them but there are a few I might actually want to meet.

Hiding your profile only hides you from someone’s search when they are logged in. However when you hide your profile, anyone who does not have a pof account or is logged out of their account can still search you by username and find you on the site. They have to either be logged or not a member of POF though.
They ‘come at you’? Doesn’t sound very pleasant. If they already can’t behave themselves, they probably won’t be good guys to date. They should know that you will be talking to more than just them on POF and they should have no problem with that. Otherwise, red flag.
