POF : I got 3 months of POF for free

I’ve been on and off PO~~F~~S for a while. Getting tired of dating and wanting to meet the right person, I debated between paying for Match.com or upgrading my current POF account. I flipped a coin and picked POF.  [They post measurable benefits of being an upgraded member](https://i.imgur.com/aqvWk53.jpg), which I would gladly hold against them if they weren’t matched or succeeded (I’m cheap lol).

On April 27 I paid $38.70 for 3 months. Immediately I turned off the auto-renew option. About a week in, I started taking **NFSW** [screen shots of the FAKE profiles that viewed me](https://imgur.com/a/MpgVo1M) as proof that their stats were false. On May 18 I logged in and requested a full refund.

« Hello, I’m user [ScubaG954,](https://www.pof.com/viewprofile.aspx?profile_id=173576237) I would like a refund for $38.70, what I paid to become an upgraded member. Since upgrading, I’ve been inundated with fake, inappropriate accounts. One of the upgraded features is « number of people viewing your profile triples » These are not people, they’re bots. See the screenshots I emailed to [csr@pof.com](/). »

$38.70 was refunded to my AMEX credit card on 5/29. I’m still receiving upgraded features and haven’t heard back from POF.

  1. They most likely are giving you a grace period. I would not be surprised if they turn it off in a week. Also do you know you can set up your settings so that you only get messages from upgraded users. Personally no offense I don’t get why people pay for POF its not worth paying for as you can get the same results when you use it for free

So what promise did they break?

All you proved was that scammers tend to target people who make poor financial choices.

    > Immediately I turned off the auto-renew option.

Do you have a screen shot of the page that allows you to do this?

That is because in 3 months you are going to get charged for a renewal.
